Inspired by.....

Last summer my eye caught a card that inspired me to make a card in black and white. Not my go to combo when I make a card so also a bit of a challenge :)
This card is made by Sue Lelli

I love the design of this card and her fab use of damask patterns.  .I created my own patterned paper with a background stamp (French Country by Waltzingmouse Stamps) The Chicken wire stamp  is also from Waltzingmouse and so is the sentiment.
This is a peek of the patterned paper I made:

I love love love this sentiment set (Say it Loud)

And here is my card Sue thanks for the inspiration and getting me out of my comfort zone:)

My weekend started already!
I have a graduation of one of my nieces coming up; crafting on Friday,  having a friend here for Friday evening, getting to meet a new baby boy on Saturday. After that I'll lock the door, pull off the phone and enjoying a Saturday evening on the couch. And in between all this.... blogging!
Till soon! Stella

Waltzingmouse sketch challenge #94

Geesh it's already Sunday evening again... The weekend goes by too fast! But; I have a short week at work. I am working three days and and after that I am 5 days off.  That's what you could call a long weekend and it's starting Wednesday evening. Not bad :)
On to my card I made a card based upon this weeks' sketch at the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge
Here is the sketch:

I used the vintage Labels 4 and the Say It Loud set for my card. Paired them up with Tilda papers and added a flower that I made of felt. And of course a pearl....

A small piece of trim as the finishing touch of the sketch

And here is my card

Have a great Sunday (evening)!

I came home soaking wet ...thanks to a load of rain that just fell down at the moment I drove home on my bike. And now the sun is shining; yes...very nice:)
It's still quitel chilly here and I am looking forward to better temperatures.  Yes we're slowly moving into spring and everything outside is getting a bit more green every day.  But the temperatures are not very spring-y.
I made a brithday card in fresh spring colors for a sweet and close friend.
I love these Waltzingmouse sentiments:

Some trim in crisp white and a felt heart. I had to add a pin with a pearl:)

And my favorite papers from the Girls' Paperie:

Have a great day and stay out of the rain if you can....

And thank you ladies of CCCB for making me a spotlight artist again!

Happy Birthday City Crafter !!! (CCCB 104)

I am wondering how you all are doing.... And I hope all is well with you!
Being away for 4 weeks.Yes I know; too long :) Lots to share but for now I have to start somewhere and I think this weeks' challenge  at the City Crafter Challenge Blog is a wonderful way to get back to my little blog.
Kirsty and her DT are celebrating the 2nd birthday of CCCB. and it's one of my favorite challenges to play along. Congratulations Kirsty and the wonderful ladies of the DT!
This week the challenge is about a casing a card.  You can go through challenge #1 to #103; make your choice and case it!
I cased one of Kirsty's cards; she made it for challenge #11 "Shades of Green" Kirsty made this card:

And I came up with this:
I placed my sentiment on top left:

And instead of the sentiment on the right I added  a die cut. And of course some pearls:)

A little signature on the back :) Had to show it; so cute!!!

And this is my card:

Last few weeks went by before I knew it. Besides my job I also …
