Welcome baby Sophie

We are enjoying summer here; sunny days, lovely temperature and for me just a bit too hot to work in the garden. I got home early and decided to create something for a gorgeous baby girl who has been born two weeks ago. Baby Sophie is the first grandchild of our closest friends and I knew the happy mum since she was a baby herself :)
I decided to make a mini book instead of a card.
The colors of  this weeks'challenge at he Moxie Fab World. were perfect and this mini book is perfect to add a touch of romance....
Here is the photo inspiration.:

And this weeks' challenge at CCCB was the perfect reason to create a little baby girl book instead of a card.
This is their photo inspiration:

I did not dress up a book but hopefully it's allowed to dress up the back of a note pad. You know that sturdy piece of cardboard behind the papers? They were perfect for my little project.   I made a few step by step photos:
I cut 4 pages with two Spellbinder dies:

After that  I cut them from …

Strawberries and summer

I am slowly getting back to leaving comments and spending time in my craftroom. Tonight I spent some time looking for challenges and leaving comments. I love to hop around and leave comments. And enjoying all the beauty made by all of you. I had a great time!
I knew immediately what I wanted to make for this weeks' challenge over at CCCB. This week we're supposed to use strawberries on our project. A long time ago I bought a paper pad and stickers from Simple Stories. But loved it so much that it kept me from using it. I guess I am not the only one who falls in love with the papers but having a hard time to use them:)

And here is my card:

Back to basic

It took me almost two months to come back with something crafty to submit for a challenge. I guess my mojo disappeared and did not want to come back. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying summer. The daily routine of working, studying ( yes again and exam planned for October but now on a summer break!), gardening, baking and last but certainly not least my family took all of my time.

And for getting back to cardmaking and blogging again I started with the basics. Stamping and a bit of help from a favorite die:)

I made my card for this weeks'challenge at the City Crafter Challenge Blog. That's where I started to submit my cards.  And still my favorite challenge; I hope to play along more often. This week  we're supposed to use a color challenge:

And I made this card:

And a close up for the colors:)

Hope you are all well. Stella
