Shaker Card

This weeks'challenge at CCCB is about shaker cards.  I've tried to make a shaker card before but that was not a succes.  This time it worked out better! Also a great  wonderful opportunity to use sequins:)

Lift Challenge #70

The weather  we are experiencing right now is a perfect reason for me to stay in my craftroom.  I have a little project to share based upon the current challenge at the Lift Challenge blog. Based upon this card (Or is it a little bag? Haven't figured it out yet):

I came up with a small bag for a little treat:

To tuck in a few chocolates:)

And while writing this post I noticed my banners are off center;grrrr.  Anyway; this is my attempt..... Have a lovely day! Stella

A favorite color scheme

I have a card to share in a color scheme which  is one of my favorites lately.
A shade of blue with a splash of red.
Yes; red......who would ever have thought of that?
I have no idea but I love SU Real Red .

This card is for my MIl; she celebrated her 75th birthday recently.  I wanted to make a card with a subtle pattern and a little splash of color.
Just a few stamps and a little bling:

Here is my card:

Geesh where did this weekend go? Before I head to the kitchen and cook dinner ( Marcel and Martijn are at the stadium watching the match and I promised them meatballs, roast potatoes and a salad) I have to submit a card. This weeks'theme at the City Crafter Challenge  is "Roses"

A while ago I bought a paper pad from Stampin'Up.  There is floral pattern in this pad that I just love.  I also love stripes and it all came together quite easy. I added a few circles and some silver yarn:

Twinkle, twinkle little star

Hello! Already Thursday evening! I wish there were more hours in a day.
The days are gone in the blink of an eye. Busy and filled to the brim.
It's already 10.00PM and I need to get some sleep....

I have another card to share. No not a Christmas card but another birthday card :) Made in one of my very favorite color schemes; blue, kraft and white. I made this card for our best friend. He celebrated his 55th birthday.

Stars are my favorite embellishments for a masculine card:

Simple Stories

I am on a roll:)
There are two cards to share.
Both were made with supplies from the card kit from Bij Oma Dee I made the first card for my sister and her husband.
They celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on August 8th.
I used lots of die cuts:

I added an instasquare from the Homespun  collection from Simple Stories

My second card  is also made with lots of die cuts;  I love that polka dotted paper and that bike. So cute!

Scraps of cardstock

There are always enough scraps when it comes to cardmaking. And I was able to use a few pieces. I lifted this card.  The background is made with a mini dots stencil using soft colors. To add a bit of contrast I used aqua cardstock to cut the sentiment.

And of course sequins.:

For my second card I used the SU Hello Darling stamp set. I have a few SU markers and colored this sequin stamp. I did not color them thoroughly to create a soft look:

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted:

A splash of orange

How are you? Enjoying your weekend? Temperatures are going down a bit and after a bit of rain we were back in the sun today:)
The weatherforecast shows us a lot of rain for tomorrow; a perfect reason to keep myself busy in my craftroom. I have a few "thank you" and birthday cards to make.
Todays card is also a thank you card; I made it for my eldest sister.
With a splash of orange I am pleased with the result. The stamped sentiment, twine and doily are part of a prize which I won at the 5th anniversary challenge at Dutch Card Lovers. The sentiment made me decide to use more orange.

And this is my card:

Have a great weekend! Stella

First small attempt; mixed media

It rarely happens but this is my second post for today.
I am linking up my project for two challenges: Dutch Card Lovers:  a project with watercolor City Crafter Challenge: Make a card or project using a house
Home is where the heart is.....there is no place I´d rather be.......

This weekend I gave mixed media a small try. As a start. Being inspired by you talented ladies mixed media is on my to do list for 2014. The first step was buying a few stencils and some embossing paste. I started with a stencil, distress ink, a mini mister and a paintbrush. And because I did not have a spatula I used an old bank card to spread the embossing paste. Yes you have to be creative whe you find out you don't have an appropriate spatula:) It did not turn out a big project but it's a reflection of what I call home. Here is my canvas: please let me know if my first step with mixed media is right.....

Till soon!

Stampin' Up

Last week I made a few cards with my new SU supplies. With more time for cardmaking I am so happy to make more cards. I also need to make some cards in advance; there is not much in stock:) They are a bit CAS; my inspiration is slowly coming back. After being on vacation for quite a few weeks....
Here they are:
The "Hello Darling"stamp set paired up with a sentiment from Clearly Besotted. Ink is "Soft Sky"and "Melon Mambo". And of course....sequins!

Second card; and again I used the "Hello Darling"  set and a sentiment from the "My Friend" set.  I used Baja Breeze and Strawberry Slush ink. Enamel dots are from MME; bought Bij Oma Dee

I made this card last June but never posted it. The tile pattern is made with a stencil from MFT and sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases set. Flower is from the Petite Petals set. I also used the coordinating punch. Ink is SU night of Navy and Versamagic Aspen Mist. No card without sequins; I gu…

CCCB 222

I am just in time to submit a card for the current challenge at CCCB. We're supposed to create a card or project that features an animal.

I created a card using some sticky notes(....) My sister Annelies gave them to me a while ago. They are super cute! Polar bears, mother and child.  And again I made a card with a winter theme. I guess I am ready for cool weather after a very warm and humid weekend....:)

Here is my attempt :

And here are mother and child:
