With a a very long weekend and lots of fun things on my planning I almost forgot to post a card for one of my favorite challenges. This week is filled to the brim and I hope to be back to blogging again when I am back home tomorrow. Before I leave today to spend time with one of my sisters I found a bit of time to share my card.
The current challenge at the Lift Challenge is based upon this card:

And I came up with this: shades of blue, green and yellow.

And to add a bit of contrast a small touch of orange: Here is my card:

Going green

After two busy weeks it's time to share a bit of what has been keeping me busy. First I'll share a card I made for a challenge, second is a card which I did not post in time. Argh!!! And at last a bit of what kept me busy.
I made another card for the Festive Friday challenge; based upon this photo inspiration:

I got carried away by the snowflake and green.... I made a card with bright green cardstock, vellum, a lot of heat embossing, my favorite Papertrey Ink stamp set (In the meadow),  some silver twine and bling:

My second card was made for the previous challenge at the City Crafter challenge. We were supposed to use garden elements. I made a card and wanted to submit it last night but the linking up was already closed. I assumed that I was in time.  Have to check it better... I made this card:

And now what kept me busy.......Two weeks ago we became the proud owners of our own vegetable garden. It's about 100 square metres so lots of space. And work That's we…

Spring is in the air

Geesh it has been more than a week since I've been here.  It has been busy with lots of fun things and I will post a bit more than usual in the upcoming days to share what kept me busy

But first a set of two cards that I made for the current challenge at Crazy for CAS. I am playing along again and so proud to be the winner of one of the challenges in February with THIS card.

The challenge is based upon this photo inspiration:

I used a stamp set I bought a few years ago and until last night I only used one of the border stamps of this set.  And i made two cards: one with mainly pink and one with mainly yellow.  The pink card is my favorite:)

Here they are:

Hope to visit you soon; sorry for not being around lately Have a great day, Stella

Lift challenge #61

Does this sound familiar? Participating in a challenge and looking for a paperclip because you want to use it on a card? Something as small as a paperclip kept me busy for almost an hour; I did not find one in our house....grrr...... I used something different on my card.
This happened to me creating  my card for the challenge at the Lift Challenge. I am so honored to be one of the top-3 in the previous challenge.  And of course; I had to play along again! We're aupposed to lift this card:

And again a card with lots of white but definitely in my comfort zone..... Instead of a paperclip I used a wooden heart and a flower instead of a butterfly. The leaves are cut from thin cork,  The background is made with an embossing folder. And instead of a white "tag" I used a piece of an old Prima paper in an attempt to decrease my paper stash. I know; it's a small piece:) I do not have a "note pad"die and used a tag die.

Here is my card:

Have to catch up with blogging;…

Festive Fridays #26

It's already late but I wanted to post this card for the current challenge at the Festive Fridays blog. Based upon this photo inspiration :

I decided to focus on a white card with touches of brown, red and green.  I am having this wreath stamp that I want to use as often as possible.  And another christmas card for my stash; I am still on track! This is a close up of that wreath:

And here is my card:

Till soon! Stella

Supplies: Kraft and cream cardstock from my stash, Wreath for all seasons stamp set by Papertrey Ink, Memento ink: Dark Cocoa, Lady Bug and Bamboo Leaves, Wooden star from Xenos, dimensional tape

Too much of all I guess....

When I started  making this card for the challenge at the Dutch Card Lovers Blog. We're supposed to use spatters, splashes, circles, smudges and/or stains on our card. A good reason to try something different; using different supplies that I have not been using much.  And maybe, just maybe it is a small step towards mixed media. Although this is not a mixed media project. But an attempt to use something different such as ink, embossing folders, heat embossing, dies and patterned paper. These supplies are all in my comfort zone:) It made me think of the distress stains and glimmer mists.... I guess you get an idea already. The glimmer mist was just standing in my closet for more than 3 years ( I know,I know) and after buying some colors of distress stains I only used them twice.
I tried a few things and finally came up with something more than just a few splashes. Off track due to my supplies:) I doubted whether I should participate. But still pleased how this turned out I decided…

Trying something new

A wonderful Sunday; the house is quiet and I have nothing planned. I went straight to my craft room and made two cards for this weeks' challenge at the City Crafter Blog. This week we're supposed to use another language than English on our cards. So I added Dutch sentiments.

The first card is made with one floral stamp and one leaf stamp. I used three different colors of ink; and they are way out of my comfort zone:) I inked them and stamped them twice. To create a sort of shades (geesh how do you call that in English).   The sentiment means: "Just because I think of you ".
Here is my card:

My second card is a birthday card for a little boy who turns two this week. I wanted to make something CAS with a modern twist. So I used washi tape,  a felt number and a sentiment. The sentiment means "hip hip hurray"

Enjoy your day! Stella
