Showing posts from June, 2014

Geesh it has been more than a week since I've posted something. May and June are always busy months. I guess we all are busy. One more week and my calendar will be almost empty. I am looking forward to that:)
I made a few small things. They all turned out a bit CAS.

June and July are the months to make my own jam. The taste is delicious and I always make a few extra jars to give them to friends and family. It's the kind of gift that makes people happy.  And I love to wrap them up. And add a tag. I stumbled upon a tag die that I had to have. It is a mason jar:)

This tag is made for homemade strawberry jam. And a perfect match for the challenge at CCCB. The challenge is all about fruits.  I am just in time to submit my tag:

I hope you all are enjoying this time of the year. Till soon! Stella

Working ahead; Christmas in June :)

A few weeks ago I got the cutest deer die from my sister Jacqueline. A deer is my favorite animal and I had to use it immediately. I made some die cuts and my favorite until now is the one I cut from cork. To prevend christmas card stress I started in January. To keep on track I am making a christmas card each week. Some of the cards are based upon previous posted cards. But this one is a newbie:) I knew it had to be a card with a lot of white, wood and of deer:) This sketch from Crazy for CAS was the perfect opportunity to make it just the way I had in mind.

A little peak of my deer:

And here is my card:

Enjoy your evening! (or day:)...) Stella

Bij Oma Dee

Summer has arrived here and we are experiencing amazing weather. Warm, sunny and being able to spend a lot of time outside. In this extended weekend I started this morning with a summer card. A great opportunity to use a bit of my favorite paper pad of all times: Summer Fresh by Simple Stories. I cut and layered different papers.
I am playing along for the very first time at this months' challenge Bij Oma Dee. This months' theme is "vacation".  And with summer starting I came up with  a mix of patterns and colors:

Mixed and matched them all together:

Have a great day! Stella

Dutch Card Lovers # 212

A few days at home and that means plenty of time to make cards. I have to make a few birthday cards and this card is based upon the current challenge at Dutch Card Lovers. They are celebrating their 5th anniversary and we're supposed to choose a technique, sketch, color, embellishments and occasion on each of the blogs of the DT members. No examples on the challenge blog but a blog hop to gather all the elements for your card. Fun!
I made my choice: Marjan: sequins Margot: embossing Anja: sketch nr. 3 Rosalien; colors from nr. 3 Nelleke: Birthday
The colors I choose are pink, grey and red And this is my card:

CCCB # 214 "Nautical"

Finally a chance to create something for a challenge that I am joining for quite a few years. And it's always fun to join them. We're supposed to create something nautical for the current challenge at the City Crafter Challenge. This is the photo inspiration:

I choose wood, dark blue instead of light blue and  red as an accent (euh.....quite a big accent in fact). For one or the other reason I always come up with red and blue when I think of a nautical theme. I also added some twine; no boat without a rope:)  And a few stars.  And kept it really really simple:

And a little fishtail for my sentiment. Here is my card:

We are experiencing a wonderful summer evening. Today was sunny, bright and warm! Till soon. Stella

CAS challenge #45

This is my second post of today. I really wanted to play along with the current challenge at Crazy for CAS. We're supposed to use balloons and I knew exactly what I wanted to make. One of my goals for 2014 is trying to make more CAS cards. I am very pleased with the result. I made two cards; one - of course - with shades of blue and the other one in shades of pink. Another favorite:) Here they are: In blue:

This is my first of two posts today. With limited time (I need more hours in a day...) and to submit my cards in time I have to post twice.
This card is made for the current challenge at  Dutch Card Lovers. We 're supposed to use kraft and white and one other color.  I used a kraft card base and added white, brown and pale blue. And of course; no card without a bit of bling!

Lift challenge # 67

After a fun weekend spent with family I am here to submit my card for the current Lift Challenge. We´re supposed to lift this card:

And I came up with this. It took me a while to stamp something decent and this is my 5th attempt. Again and again one of the sentiments did not turn out great. Not straight, not enough ink, etc. Still not perfect in every detail but I guess it does not get any better than this:

Here is my card:
