CAS(E) this sketch #161

Hello!
I am joining the current challenge at CAS(E) this sketch. It was my first time two weeks ago.  And I am so happy and honored that my card was one the CTS Favorites then!Last week I missed the challenge due to a busy schedule. And I am happy that I can play along again.I immediately had an idea when I saw the sketch:

Instead of a birthday card a card for a baby girl. I decided to use a soft grey cardbase and pale pink for the details:

The happy parents are on cloud nine:)

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

Hello!

It's February 25th and that means time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.
This month based upon this photo inspiration:

The pink caught my eye and I decided to add  green and a few touches of gold as an accent

A birthday card in soft pastels.I added a matt golden sequin between the flowers to add a bit of color. My cluster of flowers looked a bit "flat" without it:)

Thanks for stopping by!

Cleaning up and the Liftchallenge

Hello!
Yesterday evening after Skyping withRos (it was fun dear!)I decided to declutter my craft room.My goal for 2016 is to use up more patterned papers and I decided to sort them out. There's quite a pile that I am going to give to others.Such a relief; I just had too many and I love to work with cardstock, dies, stamps and inks.I use patterned paper from time to time but not as much as I did a few years ago. Now I have a -small- collection that I will use.I also sorted out my embellishments, ribbon and stamps. My room is completely decluttered and I'm happy:)
Today I made a card for the current Liftchallenge. We're suppposed to lift this card:

And make a corsagewith the sketch in mind:
Instead of patterned paper I embossed my card base with a honeycomb folder.

The stitched leaf is cut from a color sample from the paint store. (We're going to build a new coat rack in the hall;I love this color but it won't work in our hall:)A heat embossed feather, a wooden leafand a…

Hello everyone!
It's Tuesday and that means  a brand new challenge at the City Crafter Challenge blog. My dear friendRosis our host and
she picked the theme: "Negativity".

Ros asks us to create a project that features
the negative part of a die.
(the part that is left after you cut out the shape)

I came up with a card made with cardstock only.
In red,white and blue.

Sorry for the bad quality of the photos;
the weather was horrible when
I took these photos....

And a star...one of my favorite elements to use on a card:

Abstract background

Hello!
It's weekend and with nothing planned I am busy making cards. I hardly have any cards in my stash.
This one is made with one of my favorite background stamps. I love the clean and graphic design and black, white and gold are a new favorite combo:

A touch of gold; every card needs a bit of bling:) And for once a bundle of twine as a decorative element for my photo:)

I am also entering this card in the current challenge at CAS(e) this sketch:

Enjoy your weekend; thanks for stopping by!Stella

Kirsty asks us to create a project inspired by the photo.
Paris; I immediately thought of
the horrible attacks of last year.
And the quote "je suis Charlie"
(which means "I am Charlie")
I used papers from a
paper pad called "I am"....
Black, white and gold are elements
from the photo inspiration:

A golden heart for the city of romance and love:

City Crafter #297

Good morning!
We have a new challenge at the City Crafter.Today Marina is our host andshe picked the theme:
"Fantastic Plastic".
And asks us to create a card or
project and add something plastic.
For example: acetate, shrink plastic, etc.

I used plastic in various ways for a
shaker card. Lots of pink and plastic
for a baby girl.
My shaker window is from acetate.
My pink sequins are from plastic and
that little deer is from "puffed" plastic.

I bought them at Marks&Spencer
while we were in Liverpool last year.
And cute enough to add to a baby card:
