I gained a stone :)

I hope you are all well. Before I start sharing photos of my trip to Ros  and a card I want to announce the winner of   my prize package at the City Crafter  anniversary blog hop. The winner is:
Mac Mable
Congrats!  Mac will you send me an email  with your adress so I can send you your prize package?

April 20th at 8.00 PM I arrived at Liverpool Airport  to spend 5 days with this sweetie:

Ros is an amazing and very dear friend. She's smart with a fab sense of humor.  The minute I arrived it felt like home  and the days went by in the blink of an eye.  It was wonderful to spend time together.  We talked for hours, laughed untill it   hurts and did some baking together.  We made a few shopping trips  and Ros and her husband showed me  Liverpool and its surrounding area.  Which is absolutely breathtaking;  I could live there :)
I was able to join Ros at her Thursday Club. Ros'group was so excited that  she had a friend over from Holland.  It's heartwarming to see how  happy her special needs group…

City Crafter #309

Hello and good morning!

It's my turn to host this weeks'
challenge at theCity Crafter
I choose the theme:
Create a card or project and add
a balloon or balloons to your project.

A balloon is a perfect element on a birthday card:

I added a layered square:  I saw this on Ellens' blog. It adds a lovely touch of depth. Paired up with papers from Lawn Fawn  and a balloon die from MFT it turned out a bright birthday card:

Geesh the weekend is almost over.....
Today we are enjoying a bit of spring;
a bit of sun and the temperature is getting better:)  Yesterday I spent the day with Thea at the Art Specially. An annual craft show
 for stampers; we had a wonderful day.
For me the countdown has begun... within 10 days I will be with Ros in Liverpool;
I can hardly wait!
On to my card; based upon the   current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch

Made with my favorite shades of ink:

It was quite difficult to get a decent  photo of all three colors. But this is the best one I have:

CCCB #306

Good morning!
Are you ready for a new challenge? We have a new one waiting    for you at the City Crafter Challenge.  Today Kirsty is our host
 and she picked the theme:
"You are my super hero".
Create a project and include one
(or more) of the following elements:

 1) Super Hero
2) Comic Strips
3) the word SUPER

(photo credit)

I choose the word super
and wiped off the dust of my label maker:

With all the straight lines I decided  to place my sentiment not straight :) (or how do you say that in English;  I am still learning...)

We are having Melissa asour Guest Designer.  Hop over to her blog to see more of her fab cards!  You can find more inspiration from her and   the other team members on ourblog. I am looking forward to see what you come up with.
