I went with the idea of a banner in bright colors.

A gift tag; on the back I adhered a small
envelope and tucked in some money :)

Lift Challenge #108

Good morning:)
I immediately got an idea when I saw the current Lift Challenge. Such a relief when you have been searching for your inspiration:)The challenge is about this card form Dawn Mc Vey:

We're supposed to follow the sketch
and add a background with stripes. She used the floral stamps from the Quilted Summer set from Papertrey Ink. And I have that set too:)Dawn is known for using bold colors and adding lots of contrast.
I gave it a twist with a bit more muted colors:

This is the result in shades of my favorite color:

Enjoy your day!

CAS(E) this sketch # 178

When your inspiration is flushed down the sink it's always a good thing to start with a sketch :)So I made a card using the current sketch from CAS(E) this sketch:

And took it literally.  I like CAS and this is very CAS. With only a few details; I guess that's my style.

I used the Monthly Moments mini slide frame dies and one of the Ombre Builder stamps from Papertrey Ink. I also used my Misti for the first time; it really is incredible!

It's warm and sunny here; and the weather forecast for the weekend is great. I hope you have a great weekend too!

City Crafter #317

Hello and good morning!

It's my turn to host this weeks'
challenge at theCity Crafter
I choose the theme:
"White and bright"

(source)

Create a card or project using lots of white and add an element or elements from the photo. For example; gingham or striped patterns, or a color such as blue, grey, pink etc.
I added a bit of watercoloring, heatembossing and kept it quite simple:

A simple flower on a pale pink background. At first I used a gold embossingpowder but the result was a bit kitsch-y :)So I made another one with white;hard to see but in real it looks great!

We are havingSid

I needed a card to thank a sweet friend. At the moment I have a lack of inspiration..Finally I came up with blue, stripes anda handlettering stamp:

A sequin to add a bit of bling and some hemp cord.CAS in my favorite colors:)

City Crafter #315

Hello!

It´s Tuesday and that means that we have a new challenge for you at the City Crafter Challenge. Today Kirsty is our host
 and she picked the theme:
"City Scene"
And asks us to create a project and
include a city scene or a symbol of a city:

And again I made a card with a bit of help
 from my dear friend Ros.
While I was in Liverpool Ros
offered me to use her skyline die.
Back home I knew exactly how to use it.
It all came together for this challenge:

Spritzed paper (also made in Liverpool!) as a background;
creating a sort of sky filled with snow:)
I added a sentiment for a Christmas card and
that little wooden star is the finishing touch:

We are having Ellenasour Guest Designer; Ellen is a Spotlight Artist from our birthday anniversary back in April.Ellen has a fab CAS style and she's often a source of inspiration for me.You can see more of her lovely cards on her blog!
